These Terms of Service govern your use of the Gem League Discord bot and its related services. By using the bot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the bot.
1. The service
The bot is operated by Gem League to support internal league administration. Its functions may include team registration, roster management, match administration, role management, league records, notifications and other operational features.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must comply with Discord's terms and all applicable rules of the Gem League Discord server. If you submit information for a team or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the bot for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.
- Submit false, misleading or unauthorised league information.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, exploit or reverse-engineer the bot.
- Attempt to access data or functions you are not authorised to use.
- Use automated methods to spam commands or interfere with the service.
- Impersonate another player, team representative or league official.
4. League information
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through the bot is accurate and current. Gem League may correct, reject or remove inaccurate, duplicate or unauthorised information.
5. Access and suspension
Gem League may restrict or terminate access to the bot where necessary to protect the service, enforce league rules, investigate misuse or comply with legal obligations.
6. Availability and changes
The bot is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be modified, suspended or discontinued without notice. Gem League does not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.
7. Third-party services
The bot operates through Discord and may depend on Discord's platform and APIs. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's own terms and privacy policy. Gem League is not responsible for disruptions or changes caused by third-party services.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gem League is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the bot. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the bot, league operations or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
